Memory Traces

"The past must constantly prove that it existed. What has been forgotten and what has not existed occupy the same place. There is a lot of reality wandering around, fragile, carried only by one person. If this individual disappears, all this reality disappears without appeal, there is no way to recover it, it is as if it had not existed."

― José Luís Peixoto, Sunday Lunch

work in progress...

"No lo recuerdo, pero no quiero olvidar"

Witnessing the fading of memories, the deterioration of memory, reasoning and judgment, led me to work about people suffering from neurodegenerative diseases such as dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
